‘No Evidence' of Plane Crash After Reports of Downed Aircraft in Rowlett

NBC 5 News

Authorities found "no evidence of a plane crash anywhere" after reports of a plane crash in Lake Ray Hubbard Sunday night, Texas Game Wardens say.

Rowlett police said they received a call shortly before 9 p.m. Sunday that a plane crashed into the lake near Interstate 30 between Dalrock Road and Horizon Road.

Approximately 30 minutes later, Rowlett police and fire turned the search and investigation over to Dallas Fire-Rescue.

Game wardens and Dallas Fire-Rescue told NBC 5 Monday that the report could have been the result of a low-flying charter plane.
